1847 IMAGE Painted by Thomas Jones Barker (1815-1882) in 1847. Dr. Snow was 34 years old and general practitioner for the Barker family. The portrait was included by Barker in an 1847 exhibition at the Royal Academy in London. For a closer view of Snow's head with the original colors, click here. The most common image of Dr. Snow which appears in most textbooks or references. It was photographed by an anonymous person some time during 1857 when Dr. Snow was 44 years old, one year before his death.
